In Paris Engineering Group presents a new open source proposition for Big Data, Software Quality and Cloud Computing

Engineering Group plays a leading role at OW2Con 2013

Rome (Italy), 12th November 2013 – Engineering Group sponsors the fifth edition of the annual conference organized by OW2 Consortium – one of the most important global open source software communities, of which Engineering Group is co-founding member. This three-day international event is opening today in Paris, welcoming experts and decision makers from more than 50 countries.

Engineering Group will present its renovated open source Business Intelligence software proposition, allowing the analysis of large volumes of data for effective decision-making based on both private data and certified enterprise data. The new features include a complete range of tools supporting free inquiry, self-service BI, ad-hoc reporting, Location Intelligence, Big Data, as well as software quality monitoring. These tools are provided by the open source Business Intelligence SpagoBI suite (, developed and managed by its Competency Center.

The conference program includes presentations, demonstrations and real use cases, as well as a preview of SpagoBI 4.1, whose Release Candidate is being made available at the end of this week.

Moreover participants will have the chance to discover the latest outcomes of the European Research Project OCEAN, of which Engineering Group is partner. The company has provided the project with specific features supporting the management of software quality on Cloud infrastructures.
