SpagoBI Mobile released today

SpagoBI 3.4 will be presented to the Latin-American market during SpagoBI Brazil roadshow from 8th to 11th May.

Rome (Italy), 17th April 2012 – Engineering Group, Italy’s largest operator in the IT services market and global editor of open source solutions, announces today the release of SpagoBI 3.4, the new version of the only entirely open source, complete and flexible Business Intelligence suite.

Engineering Group’s SpagoBI Competency Center presents the new features to the Brazilian market from 8th to 11th May, during a roadshow, managed in collaboration with OW2 Consortium, of which Engineering Group is a founding member. The event includes three stops in Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and Sao Paulo. All details on the event are available at www.spagobi.org and www.eng.it.

The key feature of this new version is a mobile component, which allows to deploy the analysis available in SpagoBI suite onto mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, through dedicated models of reports, graphs and interactive cockpits. The other functional novelties include the availability of a new chart engine supporting the development of integrated graphs based on the interaction modalities already available in SpagoBI suite. Moreover, it offers a new set of graphs within the ad-hoc reporting engine and a renewed KPI interface, which allows users to look through performance indicators in an extremely simple way.

The mobile component has been consolidated at the end of a distributed beta test program, which involved various SpagoBI partners, users and developers, according to the open source development approach.

We are glad to have participated in SpagoBI Mobile beta test program. This opportunity allowed us to provide feedback on the application features prior to public release, which further ensures the SpagoBI suite will meet the needs of our users” says Inayat Walli, Vice President at Crosspointe LLC, FL, USA.

SpagoBI suite is available for download in the forge of OW2, an independent and global community that guarantees the availability of its open source code over time: www.ow2.org.

During this Brazilian roadshow, the teams of Engineering Group’s SpagoBI and Open Source Competency Centers, together with some representatives of Engineering do Brasil (the Group’s subsidiary for Latin-American market, based in Brazil and Argentina), will present the suite in order to foster the adoption of their open source solutions.
